Heartfelt, Nothing Happening in the Dressing Room: Liam Livingstone Addresses Eoin Morgan’s Remarks

<p>Following the squad’s terrible performance in the current World Cup, former captain Eoin Morgan suggested there was “something unsettled within the team.” England batter Liam Livingstone said, “Hand on heart there is nothing going on in this team.”</p>

<p>“Morgs (Morgan) has a great deal of respect from everyone in the dressing room, but I can assure you that nothing inappropriate is happening in there. Following the 100-run defeat against India, Livingstone told PTI, “Everyone is working as hard as they can to try and turn this around.”</p>
<p>Morgan detected something off with the squad and thought it may be the reason for the team’s dismal run. Morgan was the mastermind behind England’s white-ball revolution that culminated in their first ODI World Cup victory in 2019.</p>
<p>“Considering the amount of expectation placed on this England squad, I have never come across a sports team that has done worse than this one.</p>
<p>“There is undoubtedly unease among the squad members. The way they’re attempting to utilize, the significant way they’ve lost the games, and the confidence and morale in the locker room are all absolutely brought into question.</p>
<p>“It has to be at its lowest point that it has been in a long time,” Morgan, a broadcaster in India, said to “Sky Sports.”</p>
<p>Among the important players that have underperformed for England is Livingstone. The majority of cricket players have extensive knowledge of playing in Indian conditions.</p>
<p>“IPL is T20 cricket; this is 50 over cricket.” This game is very different. Right now, we’re not simply playing cricket well enough.</p>
<p>“It was a challenging pitch with some spin as well. The evening of the ball proceeded rather well. Regarding their 129 all out versus India, Livingstone said, “I did not think it was a horrendous surface.”</p>
